Upside down kids
we'd freakshow in the town square teenage rubble
not enough shame and no responsibility
So many of us just loose ends waiting for trouble
Not worthy of love building the right barrriers
to shut out those few that would end up caring
Graffiti was for the organized ones
drugs to subdue the trauma lingering fear
upside down kids
heads in the dirt distracted by the vices
by accumulated hurt and crisis
empty clouds dragging it all out
mirrors point and blame us
teachers say it's pointless
therefore we grin and pretend
take our ounce of value in the end
smoke it out of school grounds
lost identity lost purpose
meaningless self-deformed
shouting blaming underperforming
