My dog lost it´s soul
He ran over the concrete wall and broke the neighbours roof
Nights up howling
He chased every rodent scent
... though his teeth were clean
The luxury of compassion gave him food
The inhabitants of a quiet house ignored him
And by weeks end he would walk the streets fearless
Rummaging pissing and growling
Then he would sit and patiently wait
he wouldn´t howl or rip
Run and pursue
For I had arrived the dog had it´s soul back
He ran over the concrete wall and broke the neighbours roof
Nights up howling
He chased every rodent scent
... though his teeth were clean
The luxury of compassion gave him food
The inhabitants of a quiet house ignored him
And by weeks end he would walk the streets fearless
Rummaging pissing and growling
Then he would sit and patiently wait
he wouldn´t howl or rip
Run and pursue
For I had arrived the dog had it´s soul back
