The frozen skeleton
Snow drift overwhelming bones
No flesh anymore
Just the calcium
My skull nods and nods
Ice crushes under foot
There is no direction
no intended place of arrival
Solid pieces of ice
hang off the ribcage
I march on curving my spine into wind
Through mountains, forests avoiding towns
Unfeeling unstoppable
rattling as I walk
