Indifference swell

The boy became a man round and overweight
The food filled him until he was 23 full plate
Gumboot legs and tyre waists
Pizza syrup and sweat feast good
paddling pool of lard to victimhood

A flat tyre boy scored on by layabouts
self esteem reduced to a mere 0.2
He bought some bright new lies for his few truths
The excuse he needed to sing the blues
suffer a whole decade missing every obvious clue

He lost the kilos and gained the swagger
Yet formed madness of the mind which cut like a dagger
After that nothing really settled well
He went back to the mundane passive space in a shell
His concern for the world shrunk and indifference swelled
