The cold hits after midday
A nasty chill that wraps across your body
The air tight 5 degrees cooler, skin fright
ice lid
Curtains pulled artificial light
reach for blankets
clouds fight southern wind's plight
freeze
Summer I feel your absense
trading hemispheres
cool mists cold humidity insists
dull
Sunlight I stand begging you
to warm the land
to wake us not by heat loss
thaw
