That were attempting to traverse

That dog looked up
His bowl quite full of brains
The expressions of the dog's face
like a timid teen
Brainstorming an excuse to get out of his homework
sloppy obligation a literal intelligence muck
the soup of experience index
competing with the handed down smarts
Dogs take most things at face value
unless there's food involved
