insurance against miracles
take the stars and pluck them out
bullet proof face
helmet over ears
A full bag of life wrapped in kevlar
spray on the disinfectant
to avoid the inevitable mould
flesh use by date
microscopic enemy
The hearbeat of a tick
insurance against miracles
take the stars and pluck them out
bullet proof face
helmet over ears
A full bag of life wrapped in kevlar
spray on the disinfectant
to avoid the inevitable mould
flesh use by date
microscopic enemy
The hearbeat of a tick
The world out there teeth and naked
armed with machine zero sums
break out of the shield for gains sake
all vulnerable and numb
Standing afront the sun
awaiting trial like an accused in denial
yet the sun doesn't speak and predictably
it just shines like old boy said
The world out there is an oversized supermarket
overfilled trolley with mouths that seem to complain
as the small wheels creek down those washed aisles
zero sum machines where you can stick your hand in
if you don't open your hand your wrist stays trapped
That claw reaching down open like trolley mouth
all legendary teeth and naked gums
the cigarette and gum could marry
blinding sun still coming down
OR from my world shooting up
The world so below in the mind
a choking jury waiting for the sun
the old boy shines out there smile hammering away
through a few trillion pounds of harsh powder karma
to move those creaky wheels with this skull
roads to thought and roads to feeling
as you put your fifty cent piece into the machine
glee dripping from those curled ears
the throat dries with washing in the sun
as it gets hung out there jury confusion
The client is so lost in a universe of unfulfilled desires
those seductive images rolling around on giant screens as he stands naked afore the light
quase worship yet full of want not unlike an unfed child
One that raises the solar flare against the shadow of the cattle
wealth the full stomach
The stacked shelves
the fruit laden trees
The slowly expanding stomach
eyes survey shelves
body stationed as a tree
The abattoir smack
Blood fills wells
meat for the freeze
All riches are attracted
desire still swells
seduced by beliefs
The water sits there
edge of the drive
murky with neighborhood concern
accumulating when one washes their car
watching the street
Sun tries to evaporate it
smiling down that grin a happy teacher
but the puddle won't disappear
each person holds their scribbled scroll
lifting it slighty not to have it dip within this polluted soup
then arrogantly opening them up to declare their reasons for existance
Not a ripple or wave
Just a natural mirror for all the acting
capturing our little lives on a divine wire
to a comedy house in heaven
Cassidy sat on the stairwell
Said she wasn't feeling well
Said she had things to do
the shadow and the light
The speed of life
Our dog Roger ran up and down the coastal track
narrow and hugged by brambles
Littered with fallen branches
He outran those ancient ghosts
At the speed of life
Even my old father telling me life is but a trip
Prepare well and pack it all up
For the next adventure
Changing gear
over the speed of life
water accumulates the contrary veins of the beast land
falling into one artery, bracing itself for the imminent dissolution
A real force through the deluges of rambunctious skies
collecting the same tones of the earth in it's floods
the origin of these agitated waters
Is the unseen mountain soul
wearing the mist across the day
a beautiful dialogue with fertile skies
forested arms and hands reaching from snowcapped ranges
down to those tiny vibrant estuaries
boiling with life
with the light and dark
With the sweetness of freshwater
and the savoriness of saltwater
My own veins some western mish mash
her own veins the exotic brew
Thus the ocean kisses the rivers
with a never ending urgency
new life growing out of the fine silt
imminent emergence
