The Renewable soul

Let me tell you about the last sixty nine thousand times I lived so you see
Listen to this story I shook and I shivered and seldom felt free
From birth to death the days curved around so the months and years could roll
All for some sacred system Our lord's own lapidation of the erroneous soul

And so I lived out those years unique and open then introverted huddled
through those repetitive lives the membraine of my universal self shuddered
warmed up thrown into the judgement hall naked and sick
Their language unknown to my ears but I learned quick

Keen to read out the million indiscretions, sins, the laws I at some point betrayed
The walls were gargantuan concrete wheels that turned the snap decision was made
Hurled breaking speed to be born back into a body to repeat it all again
So here I am, let me see you swag swaggering these simple words in vain

Invest in some paradise dream of heaven a long leisurely eternity
eating ice cream with your wonderfully perfect dead family
on some ride you remember from your mind's simulated Disneyland
Repeat your belief as you wake with no memory no new life plan

The plague obsession of lights on lifeless concrete, social masks and popular dances
You'd exchange temporary bliss over any accumulated value in real substance
