The Begger and the Devil in his eye

Strolling back and forth as I waited in the train line to get my ticket
was the begger.
His fix on life his motivations were pinga rum clever
Set backs for the liver and a twinkle in the eye from a man who knew the night.
Who once said those diabolical words "stand and deliver"

The twinkle in his eye reflected a sinister light.
In fact it jumped out like mad dog about to bite.
Strolling back and forth vicious hooves inside his head.
Freedom for those who never learned to choose a choice.
Tantamount to Sweet lies that breed from his vices.

Ripped pissed on pants that jingle with the small change he manged.
Bony legs smoking pistons as he holds his hand out.
A woman opens her purse to give a cent or two
 but quickly realizes
She spent her last penny on perfume

His grin tangles now with the bitter draft through the station.
The devil hiding in his eyes and popping out trying to escape.
A cardboard box and some leftovers in the restaurant trash.
A grain of stale wet rice will collect a solar system of bacteria in his hair.
Rodents will sicken under his bridge as his life festers
in his eyes the devil flickers
