Staring at the storm
Flashes break out over the horizon
Clouds accumulate
Lightening constantly firing
Heavy rain in it's wake
Crawling across the sky
Descending on the city
Dust pick up and fly
from where it was citing
The flashing accelerates
people run for shelter
Thunder hits the ears
Animals give in to fear
I stand on the balcony hypnotized
It's advance enlivens the sky
It invigorates such humble eyes
Rumbling and cracking as it drives
Here I stand staring at the storm
Ever since it suddenly formed
from nightfall to dawn
