This life a huggable giraffe
Each patch a wonderful lake to wallow in
waterslide into and feel each tethered hair
each flickering second
Some canopy you want to be able to see over
sunset there for the romantic
who deeply long for the future
singing in their own minds about tomorrow
Above the earth just far enough
to have a closer relationship with the sky
A mouth that can chew barbs
And offspring that just pops out walking
This life seems to be one of these heavenly giraffes
One of nature´s beautiful mistakes
galloping the savannah all dry and awkward
Above everything else, huggable and elegant
