alone colder somehow
solitude friends' oversympathizing
Attempts at forgetting

plastacene double dates
predicable talking points
drinks with stupid names
hangovers stabbing your pangs of infatuation

Those moments in images
clear and visceral
oblivion focuses them
instead of destroying them

Those feathers falling away from each other
floating in separate directions taken by winds of lust
driven far confused and blind separated
awakened in the unfamiliar mud of the mind and spirit
