Look toward it but you are shy
open your eyes and see it, it shines
Fly down and check it as it glints
Then back to the nest with it in your clutches
peck it a few times to check if it's living
what a treasure to adorn the dried grass
Look down toward the open street
the way it lights up like a treat
a thousand metals all competing for your eyes
the sun greeting in each one like fires
singing light out low motors hum
the cars moving up and down insanely
Tilt your head someone just dropped their keys
spread wings follow the draught faithfully
slow yourself against the opposing breeze
pick them up
legs turn in the distance to catch you poaching
a face and body panics kicking legs approach
A click of the claw a wing unfolded effortlessly
and bird is up and free and the person locked out
