The granite urinal
dim light the last minutes of day light
reflecting through a small rectangular window
Thick granite stone walls the bathroom a prison
I turned left avoiding the shadows
To pull out and and get my relief at the urinal
That room was literally so heavy so absorbing
What had it accumulated over these wanting centuries
All i wanted to do was pee but the grimness shut off the flow
I tried to imagine paradise and open air but all I saw was rock hell
Freaking craggy cracked and speckly flecked schist and shale
weighing down on the bladder but not a drop falls
But I won't take it home and set it up in my garden
