To have that what you have searched for

To have gained that which you have searched for
That which you have hurt for
That which you have dreamed of
Unlocked suddenly like a secret door

To have the aroma and feel of such a gift
A reminder of life and how to lift it
An arm to hold you after hundreds of nights alone
Warm something that I've searched high and low for

And had it not burst into my life
had it not been love that sent me a wife
I cannot fathom how lonely I would be
How cold and disconnected from the heart I'd feel

And so love did whistle
Cupid's army pulled back arrows
I caught one from whence nimble cherub fingers fired
Sharp and darkish golden her name is Maira
