The frightened liver

Heart beneath our eyes
How we wait for a strength that seems will never come
The organs play and we are shaken from the spleen
until the frightened liver

How the backbones drum
and the fruit of the neck indeed humms
We can´t run right out of ourselves
but remain under the ribcage

The body is not some complicated machine
that turns itself on and off automatically
And in it hides your will to get out
and in it hides a frightened liver

Up the spine and around the colar bone
echos the mind screaming from the crown
as if it were the throne
Yet without the union the mind is a peasant

A creater of affliction and inner ghosts
That disturb the organs
and frighten the liver
blessed be the heart

and beware in the event it swells
For misplaced emotions
Are the overpowering currents
that churn the oceans of hell

And fear it´s ancient Kraken
furiously confusing

So take this remedy to quell the evil
To treat your hub with love and care
and to extract the sting of the scare
Unite yourself and let it all pass by

All is hopeless without the union of the mind
the organs must sing each one fearless and loud
Til your liver knows not how to be scared
and your heart not how to be proud
