Face your dragon

The dragon is taking domain over your life
You ignored it's presence
You ran from the fire and smoke
Thinking that you wouldn't burn or choke

That God made the world peaceful
and that you would relax
But it really is a dainty lie
Living big illusions before you die

The dragon grows and grows and fills your life
with claws it cuts like the sharpest knives
the fire flows over everything you hold dear for
reducing to ash, all the things you care for

All the fear that stops you from seeing the dragon
or summoning your own Saint George
It stole your treasure and keeps you nagging
Yet the real issue you ignore

Find your strength and sharpen your sword
fight for the physical or emotional reward
but don't let fear make you poor
always face it, never ignore!
