Canadian dark sun

I left the university at three thirty in the afternoon
The day had grown pitch black except for some strange shafts of sunlight
Piercing through the dark cloud down on an angle warming me
When I shouldnt be able to feel any warmth

The day became ever darker the few beams blessing my day of study
Then they too disappeared and the northwind would dominate
And storms would come down and reak havoc upon Canada
I had to get to my afternoon classes

Threats from the south beat on the windshields of snow ploughs
The few shards of light seem to be coming from the distance
Not where the midday sun should be in the sky
Those shards started to burn and intensify
