Such a beautiful word is mayhem

I see the streets full of latchkey kids
with sticks and rocks and words
that shock.
What a beautiful word mayhem is.
The front of the demonstration
becomes riled and violent and the naysayers worship.
Horse bound police run through the crowd leaving broken boned
vagabonds for the latenighters to clean.
What a hefty price the public voice ticks up.
Such a beautiful word "mayhem"!
