Serve us with cheekbones pronounced

Strange cheer
sweetness was finding a café as dark clouds opened to broadcast the sun
Strange cheer in cheek bones not easily exposed
Busy skinny arms maneuvering between cafe table charms

Drinks land on tables colonizing them and almost spilling over
Forks rise and fill mouths letting the city's circle of life take it's course
The ceiling is an arrangement of lights and patterns reminiscent of a U.F.O
Waiters lack skin on their faces I've seen less gaunt features on alien t.v shows

Their aprons maroon their bandanas too
Kitchen aromas cause afternoon passers by saliva to stew
taste buds hatch like eggs in the mouth anticipating the incoming plate
Food bears down on the place mat, the tongue can no longer wait

The skinny waiter fills cool aluminium cans into frosty windows
Over days they'll empty like salt shakers
space hovercrafts colonizing the empty tables
with not so alien flavors delivered by gaunt waiters
