As midday swings around so do cousins
Together outside food shops deciding what to eat by the dozen
It breaks the awkward moments and god assigned the sun to shine at this particular hour
Very few reserves for tables and less for pavement
The hunger in the stomach not as strong as the craving
To move from these dilapidated food stalls to human assigned vias for transport
As the afternoon grinds the sky down to grey
The hunger to move is as intense as the hunger to get paid
Yet the car slides back down the hill and the company assigned breaks fail
When it suddenly kicks into gear
Impatience drives us to run a red light and realize one fear
That each day is a destructive bonfire preventing our meditation
