The evening saw my face

Partially disguised running on the platform
People in their thirties walked in pairs and trios
Some drunk and some stoned
The evening who inhaled the early evening breeze
Came walking and crossed my path like a black cat

This night no trains were coming in
Big bulb lamp light was just starting to glow
She saw my face under the scarf
I was trying to hide you see
The world doesn't need to see me

The night forced me into an embrace and said my name
But I didn't know who she was
I wasn't inebriated so searched my memory
But the only memory I had was the current one being created
